I have been using Nebo lights for many years, one of them is 10 years old, still works like the day I bought it. I’ve also been using headlights for years, but couldn’t even begin to count how many I’ve gone through. Some failed the first time I used them.
As I was lamenting the short life of my last one, and reflecting on the annoyance of dysfunction leading to failure (how long I put up with crap before writing it off) the thought occurred to me: wouldn’t it be cool if Nebo made one? A quick google search, shezam, my wish come true.
Amazon put one in my hands the next day! The Nebo Transcend is everything I expected it to be, it is truly excellent! The usual Nebo quality is evident, it is elegant and precise. On its “high” setting it absolutely bathes everything within several steps with white light. For things within arm’s reach (my primary use case) high is overkill, “low” is more than enough — and it lasts for 28 hours on that setting!
I haven’t owned it long enough to speak to it’s durability, but I have no doubt it will perform like a Nebo always does. The elastic band might’ve been a concern, elastic only lasts so long, but I see the rest of the industry wasted no time aping Transcend’s form factor and tilt mechanism, there are 3rd party replacement bands to be had for $3, so this isn’t a concern.
The only other thing I wanted to say is about another reviewer crying about charging port lifetime. He clearly is not well informed about current battery standards. This light uses a standard rechargeable battery known as the 18650, made by literally hundreds of makers. The charging port, built into the battery, is an extension of that spec. New ones are out there for less than $10 (be sure the milliamp hours match or exceed the original.)
If the charging port fails you have a couple of options: you could replace the battery with one just like it, or you could buy a cheap 18650 charger and charge it out of the light — no big deal, you have to remove the battery to expose its charging port anyway.
A stand-alone charger would likely maintain the battery better, charging circuitry on the battery is limited by space. Decent chargers do extensive charge-state analysis and tailor the charge operation accordingly. It would also set you up to carry replacement batteries that lack the charging port (cheaper, more plentiful, bigger ma/h capacity — I have some with 9800 ma/h capacity.)
And you may even find you already own other devices with the same battery type, this gives you a solution to charging problems on any of them! Nebo even offers replacement batteries with their brand on them. Discarding this fine light for charging issues is highly wasteful and (as opposed to this headlight) not very bright.

Battery life has me the most impressed. I left it on its brightest mode, using turbo regularly, and it went hours and hours. I thought i would kill it in one hour, but it kept going! Solid metal construction, seems durable, and seems it could withstand against the elements quite well.
All functions have worked great, but my only small gripe is the magnet strength. Seems to be half of the NEBO products I get have subpar magnet strength, and the other half have incredible magnetic strength! Not sure why they vary so much. But this one is also the case. Was working on my A/C condenser with a full metal body. The light DID hold, but with just a bit of jostling of the metal panel it was attached to, it kept falling off. It still works, but don’t buy it solely for this function… hence the 4 of 5. Funny enough, I just bought another light from Nebo and the magnet is brutally strong!
Good strong, bright light, lasts forever, and easy to use when you cant see the dial, which is a huge plus!

This is a very nice hands-free light! While there are other out there, this allows you to take the light off the headband and position using the mag base and with the light source on the side, there are A LOT of adjustments to cast just where you need it.
Multiple modes to limit/increase the amount of light needed but on the brightest, it will drain the battery very quickly. While this is designed for more of a “close” workapplication, it does have a nice wide cast for over 50 meters. The dial adjust on the side for adjusting brightness is nice as you can adjust incrementally instead of pressing a button which is limiting, then only having 3-5 levels.
A con for me is that you need to remove the battery to charge. Not a deal breaker for me but may be more annoying for others. It is a “little” pricey but it is 1500 lumens and the range of features and adjustability does make up for the sticker price.
I have had other headlights in my many years of using them and this one so far blows them away. Does not feel bulky and heavy when wearing and the band is comfortable.
I keep it in in my tool bag ready to go when needed. You will not regret this purchase!
Cheers!!

I decided to purchase the Trancend 1500 as an upgrade from my 1000. Overall the 1500 works just as well but you have to fully remove the battery from the headlamp to recharge. That means you have the 1500 broken down into 3 SEPARATE PARTS to recharge. It may not seem like much but, when outdoors, better to keep your equipment in one piece. The 1000 only requires you to loosen the knob to provide access to charging port (keeping the headlamp in one piece).

The headlamp itself is quite bright, no issue there. It has 3 basic modes, low, middle, and high. Turbo is activated by pressing and holding on power button, while strode light is activated by double clicking the power button.
The design seems very water resistant, in line with its claim of IPX7. But the downside of this is that you must fully unscrewed the cap to extract the battery for recharging via USB cable through the power port installed on the battery itself. This is both a hassle, cannot be done during any rain, and does not allow for usage while recharging. So, pros and cons here.
The alternative design would be to have a power port on the headlamp, and cover it with a rubber seal, but obviously this would be less water resistant. Supposedly, it can last 4 to 6 hours, so you may not need it recharge it during the night itself unless you are hiking through the entire night. So, this may not be too big a issue, I guess.
You can either wear it as a headlamp, or detach the light module and use its magnetic base to attach it to something else to serve as a worklight. I haven’t used it that long, so unclear on battery life. But overall, the design seems good. Very expensive product though at SGD 69.69 (USD 51.72).

La mejor linterna de este tipo que he tenido.
Práctica, sólida y buena luz con buena batería.
Solo que no recomiendo usarla sin casco o gorra durante mucho tiempo, por qué si se calienta y es algo pesada. Pero se compensa con su potencia.

Nebo hit the nail on the head with this one. It’s super bright when turned up to hi and the battery life is amazing. I’m thinking about buying a second one to keep at my job. I love it

I’m a big fan of Nebo products. This one is my most used. I’m a big hunter and I use this lamp for just about everything from ducks to turkey. Very bright on the high setting (I don’t use turbo often), battery life is excellent, and the multi modes are a great range. Only improvement I could think of would be to add a low light green or red setting. Otherwise, it’s perfect.

bright light and feels soft on my bald head, battery seems to be holding up really good, very happy with this purchase. and you will too..

The headlamp is awesome! It’s super bright for what it costs. Although it’s heavy and some of the materials aren’t that high quality which you would get from a more expensive headlamp. Overall good for how much it costs!
