Excellent product. Maintains accurate Heart rate during intense workouts.

Very accurate and good quality … but time will tell ..I want a good 2 years out of a heart monitor at least…had terrible luck with the wahoo ones but this seems good to date ..connects immediately

We each bought one of these for our Pelotons and they synced right up and work great. Very easy to use, stylish, comfortable and seemed accurate. Much more comfortable and less burdensome than a chest strap.

Funciona muy bien y es muy fácil de utilizar. La frecuencia de muestreo es mucho mayor a la del apple watch y la vida de la batería está muy por encima.

Once you switch it on, it doesn’t switch off. The Heart Rate measured is accurate when I went running and biking. According to the manual, it is supposed to show 5 different LED colors based on the Heart Rate Zone. The device just shows red irrespective of HR Zone. I had to literally leave the device ON overnight for the battery to discharge and die out. The APP is un-inspiring and total crap. Amazon offered me one week window to return the product. I couldn’t test it fully. Now I am left with a product which promised a lot, and didn’t perform worth the price paid.

Original review (2018): Really like this so far. I got it because it was annoying to wear a chest strap when biking. I wear this when riding outside or on Zwift or when checking HRV in the morning. Fits comfortably. Doesn’t slip. Seems to track accurately. Once it read very high initially but settled in quickly after i adjusted it on my arm. Haven’t had any of the problems referenced by other reviewers. The iOS app is fine but i only used it initially. I ordered 2 more for use in other locations.
Update (2020) : I now own 4 of these for use in various places. I will never go back to chest straps again. I’ve used them road biking, mountain biking, and on indoor trainers & treadmills. They are reliable and last. I disagree with reviewers who say they aren’t accurate or have dropouts. I’ve never had problems with either issue. If there is a drop out it is usually due to poor positioning on the arm (user error).
Out of the 4 units that I have, one recently failed after ~2 years of use. I think it was a battery issue as it crapped out on a ride and then would not hold a charge (although the charging light blinked). After a few tries it wouldn’t even show the charging light. I emailed Scosche via their website and they responded within 24 hours. They helped me resolve a firmware update issue with another unit (user error again; I stopped the app midway through a firmware update) and then, after I sent a requested video of the unresponsive unit, they sent a replacement which I received in a matter of days. I was super happy with the customer service accessibility and response.
While waiting for the replacement I had tried a Polar OH1+, but I don’t like it compared to the Scosche. The Polar is smaller & lighter but it is less comfortable as the strap presses the small circular monitor into your arm instead of being even and spread out like the Scosche. The Polar charger, while small and simple, is fiddly and easy to lose. The battery life on the Polar is 50% of the Scosche’s as well. I’ll be sticking with the Scosche.

I was having a hard time with chest straps making the correct contact or slipping out of place. This has worked perfectly. The Bluetooth connection works with my Wahoo trainer and phone apps. The ant+ syncs with my garmin bike computer. I’ve used it for road cycling, indoor training, and mountain biking. It works great on either the upper forearm or bicep.

While this device is very accurate, comfortable to wear, and has phenomenal battery life, the connectivity is absolutely atrocious. At first, it worked very well with my Garmin Edge 1030, but after just several uses, this device consistently disconnects and sometimes it won’t show all the heart rate data I need.

This is a good HRM that is both accurate and waterproof. It is comfortable to wear on the bicep when doing martial arts and other activities. The battery life is also very good.
What really sets this unit apart from others like it is the option to save workouts in memory. Often, I can’t have my phone without Bluetooth range, which means that non-memory HRMs (the majority) will have breaks in the data at points where I am too far away. However, with this unit, it records it and I upload it once I’m done. It also interfaces directly with Strava, which is a bonus.

This is my 3rd Scosche HRM. The 1st was a gift from my wife. It worked well, was accurate and provided lots of data linked to the iCardio app. That 1st one became obsolete after upgrade to ANT+ Bluetooth. I liked the interface so much I purchased the Scosche Rhythm + and had over 1000 workout sessions logged even after I had to jury-rigged the armband when the frame broke. #2 just stopped working, it wouldn’t charge. Again I like the interface and data provide with iCardio app. So after much research and having two Fitbit not work I ordered the Rhythm 24+ on 1 June 2020. It arrived 3 June 2020 and I used it that day on a 25 mile bike ride. Great data, comfortable and working like a charm. Two days later the first side of the plastic frame broke while I was on my Schwinn Spin bike. I jury-rigged the armband and completed my training session. Two days later the other side of the frame also broke. I’ve had the item all of five (5) days and its functionally unusable. Luckily I purchase an extended warranty so now I have to go through that red tape. Heartrate Training is essential for me in training. I’m wedded to the data which also include calories and time is 5 heartrate zones. So having this HRM is an important part of my training. Having paid $105.00 w/tax is affordable for me but I expect some quality in the product. I regret this purchase.

This is my second purchase but my third Rhythm 24. I also had two of the earlier version, which each lasted about a year of daily use (running).
The multi-function button failed on the first Rhythm 24, after about a year. Scosche replaced it for free.
The plastic wrist strap mounting on the replacement broke (where the pin goes into a tiny plastic support that cannot possibly withstand much torque) after about a year. The unit itself still worked but without a strap: no repair was possible, various glues failed miserably. So I used a 10 cm wide strip of bicycle inner tube to hold it in place on my forearm, creating a perpetually sweaty holder for the unit. That worked for about 6 months but the device then failed. There was a residual charge (one glowing LED), but it was impossible to discharge, completely recharge or reset. (The chargers work on a new unit, so the fault is in the HRM itself; no amount of gently-cleaning the contacts helped.)
Conclusion: these devices work well for runners, and are comfortable but there are durability issues. I have a minor grumble about the strap design, as it falls-off while putting it in place, unless you are careful. Once in place, it is secure, although the strap pin/mounting is definitely a weak point: it breaks under shear stress. I like the overall design but won’t be buying another if I don’t get two-years-worth of daily/sometimes twice-daily use from my latest.
Scosche: please just make a rock solid, bullet-proof, heavier model, and ditch the easy-change but easy-fall-off strap idea, or at least make it a lot stronger.

I would say it’s as accurate as the chest strap HRM it replaces. A couple of things to know:
The strap is not super long so if you have big biceps, wearing it at the top your arm may get tight.
The android app is junk.
If you want to pair via ANT+, do not pair it over Bluetooth with your phone first or it won’t be visible.
