Was a little harder to learn that my previous device, but far more accurate and once i got it figured out I’m super happy

I have owned chest strap HRMs since the 1990s. I switched to optical sensors a few years ago. I upgraded to the Polar Verity last year to get 2 channel Bluetooth connectivity. Where chest straps failed regularly at 6-12 months, my Verity is showing no signs of slowing down. It is accurate, comfortable and has good battery life. Two Bluetooth channels mean that I can connect to multiple apps. This is especially useful when riding indoors. I can now connect to Zwift and other monitoring apps simultaneously. Wireless connections are always fast and reliable.
I purchased a 3rd party wrist strap to augment the supplied arm band. This makes the Verity into the best HRM I have ever owned. It remains accurate with the wrist strap while being even more comfortable.
My only complaint: The USB adapter is mediocre. It’s only USB-A and needs a cable to fit every charger configuration. No big deal. I bought a short USB extension cable.

Mi calificación, es sobre el producto, no es compatible con ANT+ y no se conecta a ninguna máquina de gimnasio como según describe la especificación,

I have tried to make this product work for more than a year and am finally giving up and throwing it away. The device stopped working within 30 days of purchasing it but because Polar support took so long to respond to my request for assistance, by the time I was able to talk to them, the 30 day deadline had already passed and they refused to accept a return. Instead, each Polar person I spoke with insisted that I run through all the troubleshooting steps on their website that I had already tried multiple times to no avail. It took several weeks to get them to acknowledge that the sensor was not working and send me a “new” one.
I was without the sensor for about a month before the “new” one, which was scratched and obviously used, arrived. It at least connected with the app, but only occasionally records workouts and that is only if the app is displayed on the screen at all times during the workout. If I want to lock my screen and put my phone in a pocket, forget it, I might as well not wear the monitor.
The app itself seems to have been coded by monkeys, it lacks the basic features that Polar’s main app has and has a number of bugs that have not been fixed in the year I’ve had the device. After the last update this week, I can’t connect the device to the app even after restoring the sensor to factory settings.
I have owned Polar chest strap sensors in the past and they were at least decent, but I dislike wearing a chest strap so I ended up purchasing this product. My experience with this product has been that Polar does not stand behind its products, and I might as well have taken the $100 I spent on this device and lit it on fire. After this experience, I won’t be purchasing any more Polar products, and would recommend avoiding this one.

Started a fitness plan that requires keeping your heart rate at 50-70% of your maximum beats per minute. Impossible to do without an accurate and instant reading. This sensor was easy to set up, comfortabe to wear, and gives real time readings easily on it’sapp on my phone. Also like that it’s rechargable. I like the Polar Beat app better than the Polar Flow one

It works well.

I bought this to use for tracking my HR throughout the day for HR based pacing.
It pairs well with apps that use an optical HRM (such as Visible and Heart Graph) but not those that require an electrode based HRM (such as Elite HRV or Sweet Beat). The Polar app didn’t meet my needs, I knew that before I bought this.
It was easy to set up and use. I do like that it is rechargeable, unlike the Polar H10, which uses disposable batteries. My only complaint is that the battery has to be charged daily, unlike the H10 which only requires a new battery about once a month with near 24-hour per day use.
Overall, highly recommended!

Pros –
way more responsive and accurate than wrist-based heart rate monitors, especially important for serious athletes that closely track calorie burn.
Much more comfortable than a chest strap heart rate monitor.
Easy setup with garmin, smooth integration.
Cons – can’t think of any.

I have a Garmin Fenix 6X and have been frustrated with my workout stats because I couldn’t capture my Jui Jitsu because I can’t wear a big metal watch while rolling without really hurting someone. I did a bunch of research and decided on this. I hear it’s not as accurate as an h10 but it seems to be very close. This one is optical though so you can wear it anywhere as long as it presses against the skin. I like it high on my upper arm. Even doing no gi with just at shirt nobody seems to notice. It is small, smooth, and it doesn’t move, plus it fills in the gaps for my workouts in Garmin connect. Their app seems pretty good too if you go that direction. The band is soft and confortable as long as you adjust it appropriately (I had it a little too tight the first time and it pinched a little during the workout) and can be washed easily. The sensor is easy to remove but poses very little risk of falling out. It lasts for quite a few workouts (25-30 I think) and then you just drop it on the charger over night. Good to go. Glad I chose this one. Great for kung fu and basketball too.

Sensor del corazón muy cómodo, no pesa y se conecta rápidamente al dispositivo. Antes usaba uno dispositivo que va en el pecho pero este es mucho mas comodo de usar.

Overall it seems to work well. Pairs easily with bluetooth, though can only pair with one device at a time, so hard to use with phone and computer. The Polar app is basically worthless, it is poorly designed and doesn’t do simple things like record your heart rate, but I have used with Zwift and Strava and Garmin computer and works fine and connects with no real issue. Accuracy seems good enough, I know others suggest the one on your chest is more accurate, but I wear on my arm and seems to do a good job. My biggest complaint is the stupid charging system. It comes with this little usb charger and that is the only way to charge. If you lose this stupid piece then you can’t charge. Suboptimal. I get that for waterproofing they don’t want an external port, but then at least add support for magnetic charging. Would have given this 5 stars, but not with the way the charging system works.
