While a bit pricey for a simple headlight, you get what you pay for.
Battery last a long time. Cant really tell how long because with occasional use it has been like three months.
I love how sturdy this thing is. The USB charge connector is cleverly hidden behind a solid screw cap instead of a floppy rubber cover.
The controls are fairly intuitive. Best of all, once it is on for a few seconds, it will turn off at the next button push. No need to cycle through different settings to turn it off.
The ability to change the focus is handy for different usages.
Recommended? well, I’m going to buy another one!

Eh probado varias lamparas del mercado, inclusive marcas caras, y la verdad esta lampara es mas resistente y duradera que otras lamparas

As an electrician a headlight is essential to me. I’ve had coast brand lights for many years and this is going to be my 4th now (none of them have died, I’ve just upgraded).

This is a fantastic headlight. Comes with 2 straps, one normal elastic and one slightly sticky rubber band. Having that rubber band strap with the 4 clips make this extremely solid and sturdy and does not move around on my hard hat. Amazing build quality with a very smart design. Being able to remove the light as magnetically attach it around you is brilliant. Rechargeable and tactile easy to press button make this perfect.

Because the build quality is so good and is made out of aluminum, it is heavier than most headlamps. It is also just one unit and not counter balanced by a rear battery pack so it is all front heavy.

Got this as a warehouse deal, $39. Could tell it was opened previously, but everything was there and there is no issues. It’s a solid little headlamp altogether, not just for the price. It’s all aluminum, both endcaps have O-ring seals, it has a magnet on one endcap, the strap works good, although no center/over the head strap. It is adjustable up/down once you have it on the carrier/headband, and seems to hold in place very well with as much as I’ve used it so far. It can be charged battery in, OR battery out, both via USB-C and, both the lamp and the battery themselves have charge indicator lights. It has an adjustable lens that goes from flood to spot, and, spot mode still provides some peripheral lighting. It switches on at medium brightness, then cycles thru high then low after each press of the power button, if you hold it, you get “turbo” mode. I can’t yet speak for the runtime on this battery, but others have claimed it’s very good for a 2600mah battery. It is an 18650 button top battery, for those that are interested in getting higher capacity batteries like myself. I would recommend that you only use quality batteries with protection circuits in them. I do have several other lights advertised @ 1000 lumens (Streamlight Stinger DS HPL) that seem a fair amount brighter and have much better spot light range on the 1000 lumen modes. But, those lights are 3-4x this much $. That is not knocking this light, just saying if you want something VERY bright, there may be better options, but most likely will be 2-3x this much $. If you are looking for something to keep in a backpack as a “just incase” like myself, I think this is a great option for around $40. It would probably also be good for mechanics, hvac techs, home repairs, running, and really any other general chores you need 2 hands for. Overall, I think it will be a great little light to add to my inventory.

I bought this headlamp to use for projects around that house and have been very pleased with it. It appears to be sturdy and well-made. The head strap is comfortable and once I put it on, I forget that I am wearing it. The light will snap out of the headband for times when you need to shine the light somewhere your head won’t fit. When I read about that feature, I didn’t think that would be very helpful to me, but then while changing a car battery, I dropped a wrench in my car engine compartment. It was helpful to be able to hold the light in my hand to search all the nooks and crannies of the engine compartment to find the tool. The headlamp has various brightness levels and the ability to focus or broaden the beam. I use the headlamp more often than I thought that I would and find that it is easy to put it on and wear it so that it is available in case light is needed.

    One Year (Almost) Update
I like this headlamp better now than when I first reviewed it. It comes in very handy and I use it more often than I ever expected. I not only use it for venturing into dark places, but find it helpful when sitting at a desk or table working on something with small parts. I find that it charges quickly and seems to last a long time between charges. I highly recommend this headlamp.

    UPDATE December 20, 2023.
Bought one for a friend as a Christmas gift. She’s an avid outdoors woman. She’s 5’7″ 110lbs and says this headlamp is too heavy for her, although she loves the versatility and brightness levels. She likes the magnet, ease of controls, the ability to use it in her hands, and the USB-C recharge. She keeps it as a backup to her other headlamp.

    **************

Overall, I’m very happy with this headlamp. I’ll be purchasing a second one. I recommend trying it. IMO, the PROs found on this headlamp should be standard across the board for all headlamps.

    PROs
    1) Easy and intuitive to use.
    2) Brightness levels are exactly what you would want.
    3) USB-C connection with rubber O-rings to keep out the weather.
    4) Comfortable to wear for hours.
    5) Not heavy at all; no need for the “over the top” strap.
    6) Color, throw, splash, and feel of construction are all excellent and give the feeling of value.
    7) Twist adjustment for flood/spot does not accidently adjust itself while you are busy working.
    8) All of the twist/turn functions are smooth and have the perfect amount of tension so it feels good and doesn’t accidently turn on its own.
    9) No restrictions on up/down angle.
    10) The reflectivity of the headband is sufficient without being obnoxious.
    11) Removable battery.
    12) Battery can recharge inside and outside the headlamp.

    CONs
    1) The order of operation is: medium, high, low; hold for “turbo.” To me, it seems an odd order, and I would have preferred the order to be: low, medium, high. Or, moonlight, low, medium, high. I’d even accept high, medium, low, but me preference is ascending order instead of descending.
    2) No option for non-reflective headband.
    3) No option for colored lenses. I would want a red lens that is permanently attached to the headlamp so it’s not lost when not being used.
