I’m quite pleased with this backpack. Looks good, has more than enough space for my casual 7-10,000 steps per day walking (I do not do long hikes). The water pack is easy to install and remove and fill. The backpack fits me well (male, 6′ tall, about 190lbs) and is quite comfortable. This is way better than my previous method of carrying around a bottle of water. Only thing to note is, it keeps your back warm and no air circulation, so you can get somewhat hot and sweaty on your back – I think this would be true for all backpacks though.

Bought two of these for a hiking trip in Utah. My wife and I did 35 miles of hiking over 4 days in Bryce Canyon and Zion. These hydration packs worked perfectly—kept the water cold (and sandwiches too, just put them in the insulated section with your water!), and had more than enough storage for everything we needed—food/snacks, layers, sunscreen and sunglasses, phones & keys, etc. I’ve had the name brand stuff in the past, but this hydration pack did everything it needed to do, and at 1/3 the price of the name brand stuff. Only weird thing, one pack came with a quick connect attachment for the hose (so you can disconnect the hose from the pack, probably for cleaning), while the hose on the other is permanently attached. Not an issue either way for me, but thought I’d mention it—if you want a detachable hose, make sure you ask for one. I’d buy these again for hiking with no reservations.

I have a hard-core pack from REI. I wanted a smaller one with a 3L water bladder for shorter hikes. I am a sweater and need water for hydration to prevent my frequent muscle cramps after a couple hours of climbing. This purple pack has exactly the compartments I need to carry my emergency kit, hydration, wallet, keys, snacks and extra jacket. Perfect weight and super comfortable. Love the right and left clip for the hydration tubing. The value is awesome.

I did a lot of research and reviews to get just the right backpack and went through all the Amazon pages. This is the one! Look no further! The construction is very well made. I love how there is a tie down system for poles in the front – I’m going to use it for my weighted clubs –not many backpacks have this. It’s big enough to put something serious like a drawing pad or tablet/notebook in (hopefully in some kind of waterproof protected case) – I am going to use it for my large drawing pads and I love the insulated area for the bladder to go in. The bladder is also awesome-the hose disconnects, it’s insulated. There’s plenty of room in this pack for snacks or an extra set of clothes etc. This is going to be very easy to take care of and the quality is perfection. I love the purple color and the adjustable straps are so comfortable. I really can’t say enough good things about this bag –i also love the included whistle in the straps. This hydration backpack really has it all. I’m considering buying more in case they run out –yes this is one of those purchases where you love it so much you buy a spare in case the manufacturing changes hands/goes out of business–which it won’t -_GET IT NOW!! Awesome gift-the price is JUST RIGHT. STOP READING AND GET IT ALREADY!

This backpack has been the best weight loss partner I’ve ever had. It’s enabled me to lose 50 pounds doing long beach walks. 🌊
This baby is the perfect size for plenty of hydration, plus it’ll fit snacks, sunscreen, shoes, and a lightweight towel. Everything you need.
The straps are long and adjust well. Starting off as a 3X I worried it would be too tight but there was plenty of room. Now as I’m losing weight it adjusts with my changing body.
Very well made, I’ve used for months and it’s just as nice as the day I got it. Highly recommend.

I bought this for hiking the Grand Canyon, and it exceeded expectations on all fronts. The bladder is huge, comfortably holding 3L of water, is easy to fill, and the seal works (no leaks!). The nozzle works well, it has a cap that keeps it clean, and it didn’t drip a drop (unlike my fellow hiker’s camelback that kept dripping constantly, and got dirt on the nozzle every time she sat her bag down). The amount of pockets and placement held everything I needed, including snacks and my phone on the front of the waist. In addition to the water, it held a whole day’s worth of food, medical supplies, toiletries, extra clothing (hoodie, hat, socks, etc) and hiking poles. The color is great, too. Total win.

I got a different bag initially that ended out having no room in it and ordered this as a replacement on a last minute emergency need for a big convention I was going to with my service dog. I needed a bag that was big enough to carry my bladder and all the stuff for her and myself; meals (for both of us), clothing (for both of us), toys for her, and all the medical supplies needed for both of us as we both have medical conditions. ***keep in mind this review is done with a 2l bladder I had previously ***. I was able to fit everything we needed for the day and be able to use the bundgies at the front to hold a mat for us to lay on, the top “pole” holder came really in handy for this because I was able to slip the mat through there and not have it flapping about like with other bags who only hand the one set of cross bundgies. The side cup pockets were way better secured on this one once items were in it and again things didn’t flap about. I was hesitant about the middle section that’s only secured by buckels because I thought things would fall out if it but the bag has well secured side panels to keep things inside and this ended out coming really handly to carry extra things. The cooler pocket for the bladder definitely worked excellent!
These are the negatives I had about the bag, however the bag is still amazing!
The water resistance or proofing it advertised does not work maybe for light rain but my water leaked in the cup holder and it got inside. I ended out using my beeswax on it which changed the color a bit but will waterproof all of the materical i could get at.
The shoulder straps as someone else pointed out are not as comfortable as others (I do not find it hot like other have said I can actually feel the coolness of the bladder which is why I think the padding is so thin). This being said I carried a 2l bladder and a full bag for 8 hours and it was not that bad
The bladder itself is great doesn’t leak or anything however the cap to get at the nozel is impossible to get off with one hand which is a must for me when I am walking with my guide dog, hence why I used my 2l bladder
The cooler tube cover doesn’t really work at all. It’s not hot water but even in 17 degree weather the water is warm and not cool like it advertised. This was a huge bummer because I really wanted this. Also the stitching to make this is not very strong as I took it off the 3l and put it on my 2l and I definitely wouldn’t do it again or it would rip. This may turn out to be needing repairs down the road so I can clean the tube but we will see. It would be better if they put small loops on the ends so you can take it on and off for cleaning.
Over all this bag is a MUST! I will be using this ALOT! Don’t look any further. Get yourself some water proofing stuff and buy this bag. None of the other bags I looked at even 300$ bags were waterproof anyways unless you want an external cover which I did not.
It also gets very compact when not full which is awesome. I could go on and on. But this bag is a must must must buy

Got this to replace an old C-bak pack. Nice and roomy, 3 liter water bag and lots of compartments. I like the ease of getting the bag in and out as compared to my old bag and ease of fill plus an insulated hose. Comfortable to wear. Material does feel thinner than the other brand so not sure how long this will hold up but we will see.

Took off a star for lack of instructions Otherwise great for hiking and has room for items besides water. Water stayed relatively cool on long hike (insulated interior sleeve). Plenty of nice pockets; take on a trip and store the bladder in your suitcase when not hiking.
