I bought these shorts mostly for the gym, but 2-months ago, my wife and I traveled to Oaxaca, Mexico. I threw these shorts in my bag, and although I brought other shorts with me, these became my ‘go-to’ shorts. The reason they became my ‘go-to’ shorts is because:
1) they look and fit great,
2) the pockets zip, which gives you a good feeling that your phone or wallet won’t slip out while hiking or sitting,
3) they dry extremely quickly.
Because of my great experience with these shorts in Mexico, I packed them for our trip to hike volcanos in Nicaragua, and they have not disappointed. 2-pairs of these shorts (blue and black for me), a nice pair of khaki shorts for the occasional more dressy dinner, and my blue jeans to fly back up to the colder areas of the world, and I’m good to go.
I’m 5 foot 11 inches, 178 lbs. and Medium fit perfectly.

My waist measurement is 30” so I bought size small. And as far as the waist is concerned, they fit perfectly. However, they LOOK enormous. As a longtime runner, I’ve developed very specific tastes as far as my clothing is concerned, which can be summed up as follows: the less, the better. I knew going in these were 7” inseam, which is 4” longer than I like. Even so, the shorts look enormous. The pockets will definitely accommodate the largest smartphones, and that’s a bit of a problem too: they’re so roomy that the phone flops around when running. I can envision thigh bruising after a 16-miler.
But the feel is light and cool, the fabric is nice, the construction appears solid. So, I do like these shorts, but not for running. As another reviewer noted, they are perfectLy suited for walking, hiking, or general wearing out and about. They don’t work for ME as a running short. Your mileage may vary depending upon your individual preferences.

I loved these shorts so much, I bought five pair… so now I’m on Pudolla probation. LOL
As the summer gets warmer, I will most likely get at least a couple more. The zipper pockets, proportions of the cut, and the fabric are all perfect!

I have 4 pairs and I’ll buy more. They fit great on my hips and sit just above the knee like I like. They are very reasonably priced and the shipping quick.
