I took a picture next to my game controller (it was right there on my desk, so why not), to allow for a size comparison of the two lamps next to it.
+ Batteries included…and mine worked.
I wasn’t planning on batteries to be included, but it was a nice surprise.
> But getting my hopes up the batteries didn’t last but a few hours and then died.
It may have been better not to include them and get my hopes up.
+ For the cost of less than $10 US for two(2) lamps with straps and batteries, this felt like a deal.
NOTE: No IPX water-resistant/waterproof.
Don’t get these wet in any way. The fact it isn’t waterproof/water-resistant is to be expected for this price range. Thus no reduction in stars because, “you get what you pay for”.
+ I was surprised how bright 500 lumen is.
I did a quick Google search and found recommended for camping is 150 lumen minimum and 350 is much preferred. Thus the fact these lamps go up-to 500 lumen (different settings provide different levels of brightness) is a great bonus.
OVERALL:
For inexpensive headlamps these are winners.

Does the job well … I use it to help me lighten up the project I’m working on. Having the light move with my line of sight helps to always see what I’m working on. Much easier than having to rearrange a work light all the time. Especially when my project is clamped in.

I was very surprised at the quality of this lamp. Multiple brightness settings plus strobe; all modes shut off with a single push, rather than having to cycle thru the various modes.
I now use this lamp as my main cave exploring lamp as well as everyday use.

Good price. Winter is dark here so can never have enough headlamps around. The style of light output is like that of a flood light compared to a spot light beam. When its worn directly on forehead the light shines down on eyes inhibiting sight. If worn on a baseball cap there is no issue.

Brighter than expected. Painted the bottom of clear lenses black to eliminate annoying glair on top of my glasses, tape would also work. Thicker strap clips than many others. Ordered two then two more after initial evaluation.
